If you are a single mother, it could be really difficult to get student loans because of the financial burden it could cost you. This has been addressed by the government so a single mother can get her own scholarship for college education.

The Obama single mom grant is the opportunity single moms have been waiting for to get a chance to finish school and it is out there for the taking.

The official name of this grant is the Federal Pell Grant. It has been there for a long time now and it is a good move for the government to give emphasis on this grant because not a lot of single moms know about this until Obama raised the funds to $ 5,000.

There are some reasons I can think of why single moms should try and apply for this grant.

First would be to get more or better job opportunities. With a degree, chances for mothers to get a higher paying job are proven to be much better.

You would also be gifted with more knowledge broadening you're the scope of the world. Another reason is, since you have a degree of course you chose, then you can get a job related to that because that is what most interests you and lastly, your children will see you as a role model.

Even if you are not lucky enough to get the Obama grant, you can still get some money for education. So why not try it out now.
